DEVICES- REPRO USMC "EGA" for OS CAP and HELMET, perfect to complete your Marine impression. We have been asked to do this for a long time, and now we have them. This was the ONLY device a Marine had in WWI to indicate his affiliation, thus they found thier way from the OS cap to the helmets as early as JUNE of 1918(from speaking to one USMC vet).

RPUBUTTON
BUTTONS- REPRO. Any of our repro BRASS cast uniform buttons - French (Legion or Army), Bavarian (they went to CROWN buttons in 1915), Prussian crown (rimmed & rimless), British "GS" (pocket, tunic - Waterbury Mfg.), etc. - are all the same price. The exception is the NUMBERED German epaulet buttons which are almost gone (see RPG023). After the start of the war in 1914, buttons were PAINTED because they went to STEEL to save brass, so if you do a post 1915 impression it is OK to paint the hardware grey or tan. This avoids the "white brass" hardware required for certain units (Pioneer, etc.). We have some white brass crown in stock.
