GR02419
DISK- ID, DUG, 1914 small pattern, marked: ...(A) "Ers. Batl/ Pi. Regt 20" w/individual number. Just as dug w/heavy patina, should clean up OK. FAIR-GOOD. Listed in the troop register (German text, Reichsarchives, Pottsdam, no Division listing). Dug in Champagne Sector{9}; ...(B)SAME, but stamped "Ers.Batl./P.B. 20" w/number{1}; ...(C) SAME, marked "Pion. Batl 20./ 4. C.(or K.)" w/number{7}; ...(D) Heavy verdigis, same unit, hard to read -$15.00{1}. These are perfect to display w/a collection, as each tag represented a man's life and history of military service. When the M1915 dog tag came out, I believe they discarded these "en masse" in one spot, so these did not come from an unidentified grave. They are examaple sof the samll 1914 tag. CHOICE
