SOAP- For the German collector who has "EVERYTHING", WWI GERMAN ARMY ISSUE SOAP: ...(A) Brown cakes, about 4" X 2-1/4" X 1", with maker mark of "Kernseife(crown soap)/ 200 gr/ frischgew.(fresh weight)" on one side in nice German script, and a beautiful German crown on the other(as on the German button). A rare find to complete the German "kit". Only have a few, straight from our shop in France. Hard to believe that this survived all these years. SOAP- WWI GERMAN SOAP, different from anything we have offered: GRAY-BROWN COLOR, very heavy, 1-3/4" X 2-3/4" with markings "114/ K.A. SEIFE", ugly stuff, no doubt WARTIME issue, only have a few cakes. Comes with Xerox of original wrapper label showing Prussian Eagle motif, instructions, etc. A nice personal item for display with a soldier's kit.

GLASS- PATRIOTIC soldier's JELLY GLASS(originally held jam and then doubled as a drinking glass when empty according to the French diggers), from the British battlefields around Ypres, old wavy and bubbled clear glass(inexpensive molding for high mortality rate). Patriotic style with Austrian and German soldier shaking hands, w/crossed patriotic flags above which is "EINIG - KEIT MACHT STARK", oak leaf band around bottom. These are scarce, as they are usually all broken up.: ...(A) With crack only - as priced{3}; ...(B) w/rim chips and cracks - $29.50{2}. Great to use in the bunker.

GLASS- Soldier's JELLY GLASS(originally filled with jelly that soldiers LOVED, it also doubled as Schnapps glasses when emptied and are called that in France), from the British battlefields around Longueval(Somme - we found them in 1985), old wavy and bubbled clear glass (inexpensive molding for high mortality rate - most are not cracked or chipped - we always give the best to first buyers). They come in two types and sizes: ...(A) 3-1/2" tall, belted in center with diamond pattern bottom half{8}; ...(B) Same as "A" but with floral pattern and tapered{4}; ...(B) Same floral pattern w/straight sides, only 2-1/2" tall,{4}.
