DRAG STRAPS- PAIR, fieldgray hemp cloth strap 2-1/2" wide, dyed fieldgrey, MARKED but ILLEGIBLE (possibly GMH43) - possibly WWII MG or Mortar, or flamethrower tank on cart. Large snap type cast SCISSORS style clip(no donut around ring), cast sliding buckle to elongate loop, strap is sewn to swivel loop/snap at one end. These were found in a 30th Div. Vet lot of stuff, so they could be WWI but we have yet to find a photo of this. They used similar straps for pulling mortars (light minenwerfer -which is our best guess) and flame thrower tanks on carts.
