LAMP- SHELL ART, soldier at tree: This is an unusual 21" tall lamp and it has a figure of a doughboy standing and reading a map on a tree. Figures of any type on lamps are very rare, especially soldiers. It has a wood base with two light sockets. The figure is 7" high with "VERDUN" at the bottom.

SHELLS- PAIR, TRENCH ART, 75MM: This MATCHED set of left and right shells were intended to be displayed as a facing pair on a mantle. Each is embossed for the appearance of small tree with grapevines and bunches of grapes applied to the surface, but what is VERY unusual is the dark Japan like finish applied to them to simulate the actual tree color. This is the only pair we have ever seen done with this very dark "treebark" texture and finish. The tops are slightly flared and fluted. NEW like condition.

OPENER- LETTER, all EXC: ...(B) French cartridge with German crown button attached, 8" O/A length with four leaf clover crossguard motif with 4-1/4" scimitar brass balde with openwork center engraved "Sir de France"; ...(D) French cartridge handle with German crown button attached, round crossguard with an embossed(applied) GERMAN SPIKED HELMET motif(also found on match safes), 8" overall w/copper 4" spearpoint blade; ...(G) All copper(75MM driving band), 7" overall w/2-1/2" scimitar type blade engraved with "Verdun", and on one end the copper was flattened and curled around with an oak leaf tip. This is probably GERMAN since it has the oak leaf, very fancy design. CHOICE FOR THE MONEY.

PROPELLER- MINIATURE DESK TOP: Probably graced an office desk. The box(which hinges open on the top) has a plaque "Airplane - D.H.4/ Liberty Engine/ Air Speed 125 M.P.H./ 400 - Horsepower/ safe at 1700 R.P.M", then on the sides carved into panels is "A.E.F" & "ASM". Miniature prop graces the top. Nice avaition item. EXC condition except for some paper missing from ends of the prop.
